The Ranch Opening Markets — Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026

Grain futures are pulling back in early Wednesday trade after Tuesday’s rally, with profit-taking and technical pressure weighing on the complex.

Corn: December corn is near $5.37 3/4, down about 8 1/4 cents.

Soybeans: November soybeans are near $13.02 3/4, down about 15 cents.

Chicago Wheat: December Chicago soft red winter wheat is near $7.68 3/4, down about 13 3/4 cents.

Kansas City HRW Wheat: December hard red winter wheat is near $8.29, down about 16 1/4 cents.

Livestock futures had not opened for Wednesday trade when these figures were compiled, so the following are Tuesday’s latest verified settlements.

Live Cattle: October live cattle settled Tuesday at $212.075, down about 60 cents.

Feeder Cattle: October feeder cattle settled at $315.400, down about $1.625.

Lean Hogs: October lean hogs settled at $83.650, down about 2 1/2 cents.

Market quotes can change quickly. Grain figures reflect the latest available Wednesday trade; livestock figures are Tuesday settlements because Wednesday livestock trading had not opened at publication time.
