About Us

The Ranch is built for the people who keep America running — farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across the Midwest and beyond.

We’re more than just another internet radio station. We’re a daily connection to the land, the markets, and the lifestyle that defines rural America.

At The Ranch, you’ll hear the best mix of Red Dirt and classic country music, paired with relevant ag news, markets, and real-world information that matters to producers and rural families. From early morning chores to late nights in the shop, we’re there with you.

The Ranch is founded and operated by Jason Mathis, a broadcaster with deep roots in agriculture and radio. With a career that began 30 years ago, Jason brings decades of real-world experience as a farm broadcaster, on-air talent, news director, and station manager. His career spans multiple regions — including Florida, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Oklahoma — giving him a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture across the country.

That experience shapes everything The Ranch delivers. This isn’t guesswork — it’s built on years of covering ag markets, telling producers’ stories, and being part of rural communities firsthand.

We focus on what others overlook — agriculture, rural issues, and the heartbeat of small-town America. Whether it’s commodity markets, weather impacts, policy updates, or stories from the field, our goal is simple: keep you informed without wasting your time.

Unlike traditional radio, The Ranch is always on and always accessible, wherever you have a connection. No static. No corporate fluff. Just real content for real people.

We also believe in supporting the businesses that support rural America. That’s why we partner with advertisers who provide value to our listeners — helping connect local and regional brands directly to a highly engaged, agriculture-driven audience.

The Ranch isn’t just radio. It’s a platform for rural America — built by someone who’s lived it, covered it, and understands it.
