- December corn settled at $5.37 3/4, up 1 1/2 cents.
- November soybeans settled at $12.88, unchanged.
- December Chicago wheat settled at $7.74, down 10 cents.
- December Kansas City hard red winter wheat settled at $8.38, down 6 1/4 cents.
- October live cattle settled at $212.675, up 95 cents.
- October feeder cattle settled at $317.025, up 50 cents.
- October lean hogs settled at $83.675, up $1.775.
Grain trade was mixed to close August. Corn held a small gain after weekly export inspections reached 1.496 million metric tons, while soybeans finished flat. Wheat backed away from Friday’s highs under month-end pressure as traders watched efforts to restore more grain movement through the Black Sea.
Livestock closed higher across the board. Cattle found a modest bounce after last week’s selloff, while lean hogs led the complex as the morning pork cutout climbed $2.26 to $99.55.
