Wheat did the heavy lifting Wednesday as renewed concern over Black Sea grain movement pushed Chicago wheat to its daily limit and lifted Kansas City wheat sharply. Corn followed wheat higher as traders weighed U.S. crop concerns. Soybeans gained after USDA reported a 333,000-metric-ton sale to China for the 2026-27 marketing year.

Livestock finished quieter. October live cattle and September feeders settled slightly lower as weaker early-week cash cattle trade and a declining feeder cattle index kept pressure on the board. October lean hogs recovered to finish 45 cents higher.
