MILAN, Mo. — Milan Sale Barn will begin a new chapter Nov. 2 when the livestock market holds its first cattle auction under new ownership and the Green Hills Stockyards, LLC name.
The ownership group includes Bobby and Ali McCully, Jeremy and Heather Mosley, and Jim and Sherry Brinkley. The transition keeps a cattle marketplace operating in Milan for producers and buyers across northern Missouri and surrounding areas.
According to KTTN’s report on the ownership announcement, co-owner Bobby McCully says the group wants to preserve the sale barn’s established role in the livestock business while building relationships with producers and buyers under the new name.
Green Hills Stockyards November cattle sales
The stockyards’ published calendar lists an opening cattle sale Monday, Nov. 2, followed by special sales Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30. All five dates fall on Mondays.
Weigh cow sales begin at 9 a.m., with feeder cattle sales starting at 11 a.m. The facility will open at 8 a.m. Sundays ahead of scheduled auctions. Producers needing to deliver cattle at another time can arrange an appointment.
Beginning in December, the announced schedule calls for cattle auctions every Monday, along with a special cow and bred heifer sale on the third Friday of each month.
