Corteva has announced where its two future companies will be headquartered following the company’s planned separation later this year.
The agricultural technology company says its crop protection business, currently referred to as “New Corteva,” will be based in Indianapolis, Indiana following the separation expected during the fourth quarter of 2026.
Company officials say the Indianapolis location will serve as headquarters for the crop protection division along with research and development operations focused on crop chemistry and biological technologies.
Corteva says Indiana’s growing biosciences sector and existing research infrastructure played a major role in the decision to keep the operation centered in Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, the company’s future seed and genetics business, operating under the name Vylor, will establish headquarters in Johnston, Iowa.
Johnston has long served as home to Corteva’s Pioneer seed business and major seed research operations. Company leaders say the new Vylor business will focus on seed genetics, germplasm development and biotechnology innovation while also exploring expansion into additional crop markets.
Both companies are expected to maintain additional corporate operations outside their primary headquarters following the split.
Industry analysts say the separation is designed to allow each company to focus more directly on its core agricultural markets while continuing investments in crop technology, genetics and research development.
Corteva first announced plans earlier this year to separate its seed and crop protection operations into independent companies as part of a broader restructuring effort focused on long term growth strategies within the agriculture sector.
