Grain futures closed lower Monday, feeder cattle gained, and live cattle and lean hogs finished in the red.
- December corn settled at $4.67, down 7 1/4 cents.
- November soybeans settled at $12.53 1/2, down 7 3/4 cents.

- December Kansas City hard red winter wheat settled at $6.99 1/2, down 4 1/2 cents.

- October feeder cattle settled at $344.425, up $0.800.
- December lean hogs settled at $66.350, down $0.575.
Harvest pressure and continued post-report selling weighed on corn and soybeans, even with another soybean sale to China. Wheat followed the grain complex lower. Feeder cattle found support from a stronger CME feeder index, while live cattle eased slightly and hogs slipped as the lean hog index continued lower.
Prices are final Barchart settlements for the Oct. 19 session.
