Wheat posted the sharpest grain losses Friday as traders reduced positions ahead of the three-day Labor Day weekend. That selling spilled into corn, while soybeans also finished lower after a weaker session in soybean oil.

Livestock futures closed lower across the board. Cattle gave back part of Thursday’s rally despite northern cash trade holding near steady levels, while lean hogs faced broader pre-holiday selling.

Settlements verified from free delayed Barchart data for Sept. 4, 2026. Futures prices are subject to exchange corrections.
