The Ranch Opening Markets — Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026
Wheat and corn are lower in overnight trade Tuesday as signs of Russia-Ukraine de-escalation ease some grain-export concerns. Harvest progress and improved U.S. corn conditions are also adding pressure.
Corn: December corn is near $5.30, down 3 1/4 cents.
Soybeans: November soybeans are near $12.99 1/2, down 4 3/4 cents.
Chicago Wheat: December Chicago soft red winter wheat is near $7.17 1/4, down 4 3/4 cents.
Kansas City HRW Wheat: December hard red winter wheat is near $7.84 1/2, down 8 cents.
Livestock futures are not yet open for Tuesday trade, so these are Monday’s verified CME settlements.
Live Cattle: October live cattle settled at $222.250, up $2.575. Cattle were supported by improved packer margins and expectations for firm cash trade.
Feeder Cattle: October feeders settled at $337.850, up $5.350.
Lean Hogs: October lean hogs settled at $79.600, down $1.925, pressured by weak wholesale pork values and expectations for seasonally larger pork production.
Grain figures reflect Tuesday overnight trade. Livestock figures are Monday settlements because Tuesday livestock trading had not opened at publication time.
