Soybeans led a strong grain close after EPA action on small refinery exemptions included reallocation of exempted renewable fuel volumes for 2026 and 2027. USDA also reported a 136,000-metric-ton soybean sale to China, while national soybean condition ratings fell two points. Corn gained as crop ratings held near recent levels, and wheat recovered part of Monday’s losses as Black Sea tensions remained in focus.
Cattle futures turned lower with no new cash trade reported and the CME Feeder Cattle Index falling $3.49 to $329.31. October hogs stayed close to unchanged as a stronger national cash hog price was balanced by a softer Lean Hog Index.
